1972 British Monopoly Board Game

Wonderful vintage Waddingtons Monopoly Property Trading Board Game, made in England and featuring the classic British board with Mayfair, Park Lane, Piccadilly, King's Cross Station, Marylebone Station and the rest of the familiar London properties.

This set is especially fun because it has survived with a remarkably generous assortment of original game pieces, including the classic metal playing tokens, paper money, property cards, Chance and Community Chest cards, houses, hotels, dice and original instruction booklet. There also appear to be extra playing tokens and building pieces beyond those required for normal play.

Even better, the original red and white box still carries its wonderful old Noah's Ark Toys & Fancy Goods £5.99 retail price sticker.

The metal token assortment includes such classic designs as the Scottie dog, top hat, iron, boot, automobile and ship, along with additional vintage Monopoly tokens.

COMPLETENESS
The set appears to contain everything necessary for normal play, along with some additional pieces. Because several generations of Monopoly components can be very similar and this set appears to have accumulated extras over its life, I have photographed the contents in detail so buyers can see exactly what is included.

CONDITION
Very good vintage condition overall.

The game board remains bright and attractive with strong color and clean graphics. Cards, money and game pieces show normal age and play wear.

The original box shows more age-related wear, including edge and corner rubbing, scuffs, scratches, creasing and areas of surface wear/paper loss, particularly around the corners and edges. The box remains intact and displays beautifully with its classic red and white graphics.

The original £5.99 Noah's Ark Toys & Fancy Goods price sticker remains attached to the box and has intentionally been left in place as part of the game's history.
